Jeffrey Connell

Jeffrey D. Connell is a novelist and twenty-year screenwriting veteran who fuses old-school story craftsmanship with next-gen philosophical concepts. Known for a fearless, lyrical voice and dialogue that cuts deep, he crafts techno-thrillers that leave readers thinking long after the final page. Connell has numerous accredited works and award-winning scripts to his name.

His debut novel, INNESCAPE, is a high-concept journey into a near-future where human sovereignty is fought for in the silence of digital compliance. Before turning to novel writing, Jeff was the founder, guitarist, and vocalist for the rock trio Baddax. He currently channels his musicality into his solo project, Quazzistellar, bringing a textural adventure in musical genres to his work.

Michael Kuciak

Michael Kuciak is the writer-director-editor of Death Metal, and the writer-producer of From the Shadows (starring Keith David, Bruce Davison, and Selena Anduze).

Kuciak has directed/edited music videos and award-winning short films, including KNIFE, a proof-of-concept for a feature to which he’s attached to direct, and Oneirophobia, which is part of a forthcoming horror anthology. Kuciak has also served as a producer and executive producer on several independent feature films, including Killer Party, All for Nikki, and, most recently, Five Must Die.

In partnership with Jeff Connell, Kuciak is the co-writer of the forthcoming novel INNESCAPE and its film adaptation.

Before focusing on filmmaking, Kuciak was the Senior Vice President of Development for a management production company, where he worked on films including The Meg and Ripley’s Believe It or Not (Tim Burton to direct; Jim Carrey to star). He is the founder of multiple media companies, including Blast Furnace Media, AltHouse Productions, Samurai MK, and Bufo Marinus Records.
